GSM Tester
A GSM tester is used to measure the grammage or weight of paper, film, foil, and other sheet materials. It helps determine the material's density and quality, ensuring consistency in production.
Background / Principle :
The weight (in grams) of a substrate of 1 sq. Mtr area is its GSM (Grams per Sq. Mtr)
Hence, the simplest method of GSM measurement is to cut a square piece of 1 meter x 1 meter and take its actual weight.
However, many times it is neither possible nor feasible to prepare and weigh such a large sample size. Hence the second best method of GSM measurement is to weigh a smaller sample (of known area) and multiply the reading by a suitable factor to give you the GSM.
Hence a GSM Tester is a combination of a Stainless Steel Template (of known / size area) and an accurate weighing instrument (standard digital balance)

Note : The weighing balance is a standard type weight balance. It will show readings in grams only. GSM is a Calculation derived from the weight measured. The balance will NOT display GSM directly.
Note : The calibration weight provided with the equipment is not supplied with a separate calibration certificate. If needed, you can get it calibrated with any local agency in your city.

Prices (if mentioned) on our website DO NOT INCLUDE Delivery / Freight Charges.
Domestic (India) customers will have the option of Freight To-Pay / Freight Prepaid.
Export (Outside - India) customer will have the option of Freight Prepaid or their can collect on their own Courier Account with UPS / DHL / FEDEX, etc.

Product Lead Time
Lead Time mentioned in the description is a tentative timeline for us to dispatch the product. Please consider additional days for transit period by courier / freight agency. This timeline is on "Best Effort" basis.
Sometimes there can be a delay due to unforseen circumstances beyond our normal control. Delays if any will be intimated to you at the time of ordering.
Product Warranty
Unless otherwise specified in the description, all products and accessories (excluding consumables and spares) manufactured / sold by us are covered under a standard 12 month warranty period.
The warranty is "Ex-Factory" or "Back-to-Bench", meaning the product or defective part will have to be sent back to us for repair or replacement. To and Fro Freight / Courier charges are to be borne by the buyer. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not misuse or any other damages.
