A pouch compression tester is a specialized device used to evaluate the seal integrity and burst strength of liquid or paste-filled pouches when subjected to external compressive force.

  • Dynamic Load Test (Destructive Mode): Applies increasing force until the pouch ruptures, measuring the maximum compression force required.
  • Static Load Test (Non-Destructive Mode): Compresses the pouch up to a preset force and holds it for a set duration to assess seal durability.

Pouch Compression Tester

Suitable to test Liquid Filled pouches for :

1) Dynamic Load Test  (Destructive Mode)

Test Type : Press till failure

In this method, the sample is compressed with increasing force untill the pouch bursts.

 

2) Static Load Test (Non-Destructive Mode)

(Also known as : Pressure Decay Test)

Test Type : Press till Load Setpoint. Hold till Time Setpoint.

In this method, the sample is compressed upto the Load setpoint pre-set by the user. The applied force is held on the pouch for some time (pre-set by the user). After the times elapses, the machine automatically returns to the original position. However If the pouch bursts before the set-point is achieved, then this becomes a destructive test. The machine automatically stops on sample failure or when the preset-load-time is achieved, whichever is earlier.

Safety Features :

Safety Shield Cabinet with Interlock 

  • A cabinet will enclose the moving part of the machine.
  • All sides of the cabinet will have transparent Acrylic for natural illumination / visibility.
  • The front door will have a magnetic latch with a microswitch / magnetic reed switch.
  • Sample can be placed or removed by opening the front safety door.
  • If the door is not closed completely, the machine will NOT START.
  • If someone opens the door in the middle of the test sequence, the machine will stop and reverse automatically.

Note : The Static Load Test is done as per test specifications detailed in point # 4.1.2 of Chapter 4 of the “Flexible Retort Pouch Defects – Identification & Classification” by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

As per Canadian Food Inspection Agency, retort pouches should comply with the static load burst test. You will have to press the pouch with a force of 7.5 kg per 15mm of inner seal perimeter and hold this force for 15 seconds. If the pouch leaks or bursts or even if the seals show signs of stress during this period, the batch is considered failed.

      Domestic (India) customers will have the option of Freight To-Pay / Freight Prepaid.

      Export (Outside - India) customer will have the option of Freight Prepaid or their can collect on their own Courier Account with UPS / DHL / FEDEX, etc.

      If you want Freight Prepaid, let us know after receiving the quotation. We will add delivery charges and resend the offer.

      Product Lead Time

      Product Warranty

      Unless otherwise specified in the description, all products and accessories (excluding consumables and spares) manufactured / sold by us are covered under a standard 12 month warranty period. 

      The warranty is "Ex-Factory" or "Back-to-Bench", meaning the product or defective part will have to be sent back to us for repair or replacement. To and Fro Freight / Courier charges are to be borne by the buyer. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not misuse or any other damages.
