Hot Air Oven ( Moisture Oven )

Moisture Oven is used to measure the moisture in Paper / Paper board / Corrugated board after drying it in a precisely controlled temperature for a set period of time.

A suitable size of sample is cut and accurately weighed on digital balance to give the Initial wt. of sample. The weighed samples are then placed in the hot air oven maintained at 103±2°C. Samples lose weight due to evaporation of water till these are bone dry.

Loss in weight = initial weight – final weight.

% Moisture = (Loss in weight / Initial weight) x 100
